The International Master in Digital Dentistry is designed to offer comprehensive training in many
aspects concerning a digital workflow in aesthetic, restorative dentistry and prosthodontics on
implants and natural teeth.
This program provides an advanced level of education for dental practitioners who wish to remain
at the cutting edge of contemporary dentistry and to be able to meet and deliver with confidence
the new treatment options for patients.
The lectures, seminars, case presentations, research and valuable clinical experiences that are
offered will explore thoroughly the most important and recent topics in digital dentistry.
Scientific documentation as well as clinical applications and practical components are presented
by invited international experts and at a specialist level by University of Genoa Faculty.
Strong emphasis is placed on the clinical component with a focus on a broad spectrum of modern
digital aesthetic treatment methods and a great portion of this program is dedicated to hands-on
experience.
The program is also structured to provide proficiency in scientific methodology and clinical expertise in mastering the most advanced techniques in smile design (including occlusion) and treatment planning.
The post-graduate course in Digital Dentistry is based on three meetings: two weeks and a final three days appointment.
Main purposes
- to point out all the basic principles in dentistry, from diagnostic to clinical approach
of the main oral diseases by new digital perspective - to outline the new way of making excellent dentistry by digital devices and procedures
- to analyze several CAD/CAM systems as Intra-oral scanners, in office and lab milling machines
and digital 3D printersto consider all the new dental materials available for CAD/CAM restorations - to clarify all the procedures needed to create perfect dental preparations suitable
for CAD/CAM restorations, both on natural teeth and implants - to describe the new communication procedures from the dental office and the dental lab
In two complete weeks and in a two days final course, theoretical lessons and practical activities
will be alternated; intense “hands-on” practice will be programmed to achieve all the competences needed to make Digital Dentistry more simple and reproducible in all the disciplines of the common private practice.
